What is MPM?

MPM stands for Multi‑Process and Multi‑Model. Students explore problems using different solution processes and represent ideas with multiple models—pictures, manipulatives, symbols, and words.

  • Multi‑Process: compare strategies like drawing, tabulating, reasoning, and computation.
  • Multi‑Model: use visuals, concrete materials, number lines, and equations to understand.
  • For ages 5–11: scaffolded challenges that grow with your child.

Comments from Parents and Students

“We have three daughters. Our oldest didn’t study MPM, but our second and third are enrolled. I’ve noticed the younger two face challenges with confidence. When they run into difficulties, they don’t hesitate to ask questions.”

— Parent of Grade 4 and 6 students

“Mr. Wu is a favorite among the kids. At first, some were a little unsure of him, but once they got to know him, they quickly warmed up. Now they seek him out with their questions, and he always takes the time to guide them patiently.”

— Parent of Grade 2 student

“Mr. Wu is kind and very patient with me. When I take longer to finish an exercise, he waits calmly and never makes me feel rushed.”

— Grade 6 student
